About Me

Tim Preston is an award-winning Director, Writer, and Producer whose work strives to bring drama, fantasy, and the thrills of cinema to the big screen;
who doesn't love a nice logline to sum up their career! 

My name, as you may have guessed, is Tim Preston. I am a graduate of New York University with a bachelor's degree in film & TV Production as well as a double minor in Producing and Business of Entertainment. Since my time at Tisch School of the Arts, I have worked every day to succeed in my dream of becoming the next great Director, Writer, and Producer in this industry. I even have had success on the festival circuit, screening my films at The Garden State Film Festival, Barcelona Fantasy Film Festival, First Run Film Fest, and many more! 

Today, I balance working in the Production Office as a Production Secretary, working on set as a Director's Assistant, and an unrelenting pursuit to develop my own creative endeavors! Some of my recent employers include Marvel Studios (Daredevil: Born Again S1-3, Punisher: One Last Kill), Apple TV (Hello, Tomorrow!), and NBCUniversal (The Best Man: The Final Chapters). Amid the hustle and bustle of being a working professional in the film and tv industry, I strive to stay creative and stay working. When I'm not locked into Final Draft writing a new screenplay, I'm on set with my friends and collaborators creating films and telling stories that need to be told. The joy and beauty of creating films (or Cinema if you are so bold to claim the title) is something unparalleled in this life, and truly is the core of my passion as a professional, and as an artist.
